Job Opening - Full-Time Deputy - Sheriff's Office

The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for two full-time deputy positions:

 

~Annual starting salary - $49,861.83.

~Health Insurance: Sanford Health Insurance – single or family policy 100 % paid by county.

~Life Insurance - $12,000 basic: paid by the county.

~Retirement – NDPERS – county pays percent of eligible gross wages.  Currently 16.26%

~Employee Assistance Program

~Sick and Vacation pay / holidays paid (12.5 days)

~Flex program for medical and dependent care.

~Fraternal Order of Police - annual membership and legal defense paid.

 

Sheriff’s office provides take-home squad car, side-arm, shotgun, rifle, taser, laptop computer, phone, ballistic vest and uniforms. 

 

Applicants must be post licensed or eligible to be post licensed in ND, and reside in Nelson County.
