Nelson County Barn Quilt Trail "Goes Viral"

The Nelson County Barn Quilt Trail went viral this week when a Xenia, Ohio woman contacted Ed Pawlikowski of Lakota and asked him to make her a barn quilt.  She had read about the Nelson County Barn Quilt Trail in the Lakota American.  Her only request of Ed, was to make the quilt pattern in a North Dakota theme.

This will be Ed's 5th barn quilt.  His other quilts can be seen on a quonset in Whitman, ND, two in Lakota--one on his home and the other on Randy & Doris Karas' home, and one on the Donna Mayer's home in Michigan, ND.

Please note:  Our quilt trail will be selling raffle tickets on three items this spring.  One of which will be an antique wooden chair with a farm scene painted on the seat. This chair was painted by Ed Pawlikowski.  The farm scene was patterned after an original artwork that Ed's late wife, Diana, had cross stitched. The 2nd item will be a 4X4' barn quilt. The third item will be a 2X2' barn quilt.  All three of the above items will be on display at First United Bank in Michigan this spring.  We plan to hold the raffle drawing at the Mother's Day buffet at the Wagon Wheel in Michigan.  The proceeds from the ticket sales will go towards advertising for our quilt trail.
