Snapchat Scam

It has come to the attention to the Nelson County Sheriff's Office that some of our younger residents have fallen victim to a snapchat scam where someone cloned account information and asked for money. Please do not send money to anyone requesting money from you, even if you think you may know them. Please make physical confirmation that you know who you may be sending money too. If you think you are being scam just STOP talking STOP communicating with the potential scammed. Please call our office at 701-247-2474 if you need to report and scams
