Nelson County Social Services is located on the top floor in the Nelson County Courthouse in Lakota. For those who have difficulty in climbing stairs, there is a telephone by the door on the east side of the building where a call can be made to Social Services and a staff member will come down to meet with you.

The Nelson County Social Service Board meets monthly in the Nelson County Social Service offices. The meetings are scheduled for the fourth Tuesday of each month at 9:00 A.M.
